Windows 7

So Windows 7 is coming out on October 22, 2009. I am still running Windows XP Pro and will not upgrade to Vista. I have heard too many horror stories. It seems as if Microsoft is just trying a different branding and marketing approach to Vista.

My girlfriend works for an HR department at a local temp agency. Their CEO was dumb enough to upgrade their 27 workstations to a Vista operating system. My girlfriend told me that the company’s IT bills tripled in last 8 months. Does that make sense???

Where I work, we have all Macs, that means no IT bills. Thank goodness, my boss is not an idiot that falls for the latest trends.

The reason why Macs work so well… they eliminated user based errors. Its operating systems are not backwards compatible, less lines of code, less options. Doing this means needing to upgrade software more often = more cost.
I use Vista, and I have no problems, because I use my brain and use a few maintenance programs to keep everything running well.
Computers simply work well based on the user and what they do with it, don’t blame hardware and software on ignorance.

Ok, I agree with your view regarding the user thing. Why wouldn’t Microsoft then make the needed changes to make PCs more user oriented?
