1st grader sent to reform school
So as the story goes, a 1st grader brought a camping tool to school to eat lunch with. It had a fork, spoon and knife in it. The official “zero tolerance” rule has sent this 1st grader to reform school for 45 days. Really? Yes! These idiots sent a 6 year old to reform school. Beyond the obvious that a 6 year old has no business in reform school, the zero tolerance ruling is what has caused my real problem with this situation. Apparently the powers that be are unable to think for themselves and make rulings on a case by case basis. So if the administrators can’t think for themselves, how do you expect the children too?

Reform school is just uncalled for. I saw this on the news the other day and was mortified. Like, what is that 6 year old REALLY gonna do with a camping tool.. take over the world?!?!? It’s not that big a deal.. The zero tolerance policies in schools are just becoming more and more ridiculous as the years go on.
